Terms of Service
Last updated July 4, 2026
These terms cover your use of lokreo — the website, the account, and the browser extension. By creating an account or using the extension, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use lokreo.
What lokreo is
lokreo lets you put a password on individual websites in your browser without logging out of them. Locking runs on your own device. It’s designed to stop casual or opportunistic access to an unlocked browser — someone glancing at or picking up your computer while you’re nearby.
What it is not.lokreo is not full-device security. It does not protect against someone who can disable the extension in their browser settings, who has access to your operating system account, or who can inspect your device directly. For those risks you should use your operating system’s own protections, such as a login password, full-disk encryption, and a locked screen. Don’t rely on lokreo as your only safeguard for highly sensitive information.
Your account and passwords
You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your master password and any per-site passwords safe. Because we only ever store a one-way hash of your passwords and never the passwords themselves, we cannot see or recover them for you.If you forget your master password, you can reset it after verifying your identity through your account’s email; this replaces the password rather than recovering the old one.
You must provide accurate account information and you must be old enough to form a binding agreement in your jurisdiction (and at least 13).
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use lokreo to break the law or to access accounts or systems you’re not authorized to use;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer for malicious ends, overload, or probe the service for vulnerabilities without permission;
- use lokreo to deceive others about who controls a device or its contents;
- resell or redistribute the service as your own.
The service, and changes to it
lokreo is currently free. We may add paid features in the future, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. We’ll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes, but we’re not obligated to keep any particular feature available.
Availability and “as is”
lokreo is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will prevent any particular unauthorized access. You use it at your own discretion and risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, lokreo and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, access, or profits, arising out of your use of or inability to use the service — even if we’ve been advised of the possibility. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free account is zero.
Termination
You can stop using lokreo and delete your account at any time from the account menu in your dashboard. We may suspend or end access for accounts that violate these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top and, for material changes, make them visible before they take effect. Continuing to use lokreo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
